fussy baby

my 6 week old is EBF and never seems to be settled. she always falls asleep on the breast and even after being burped she moans like something is bothering her. everytime she is put down whilst asleep she wriggles and moans and she wakes herself up. the only way she will sleep is if she is being held. any idea what could be causing this or any advice pleaseeee?

It's quite normal for babies to become fussy at 6 weeks. Cluster feeding and growth spurt.

Baby only wanting to sleep when next to you or being held is biologically normal. So is falling asleep on the breast. We’re made to feed to sleep and co sleep as breastfeeding releases sleepy relaxing hormones for both mama and baby and we help regulate temp and breathing by being next to them. We are “carry mammals” so like other carry mammals such as monkeys and kangaroos we are designed to be with our babies 24/7 in early days. They are technically born underdeveloped for the world unlike “follow mammals” such as horses for example who are born developed and can walk and follow mum around etc from birth where they don’t need to be with their mothers so often. Here’s a link explaining further

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x
