Ive recently found out im expecting another baby, my first 2 are boys and ive always (ALWAYS) wanted a girl. I was told by my gynae I am infertile only a couple of months ago, so this miricle baby is literally the last chance I'll ever get to get a girl and honestly I feel sick with anxiety I cant sleep my heart is constantly racing, Im shaking because I know this is the last chance Ill ever get. I know it sounds ridiculous but it honestly means everything to me. Has anyone else dealt with this and how did you cope? Obviously I would still love them the same but I feel like I'm grieving even though I dont know what im getting yet

Oh wow i know exactly how you feel. I went through similar. It took over my life thinking about it constantly. Ive got so much to say about it. Too much for one reply. All i will say is dont do sneak peak early test as that messed my head up telling me the wrong gender! I had many dreams of having a girl and was so desperate for one. You end up feeling ashamed of the feelings. But i get it. I was 35 when unexpectantly become pregnant and thought this could be my last chance to have a girl but also worried with uncertainty of the gender and having 3 kids and been older. I had my sons when i was in my 20s.
Unfortunately i cant give you any tips to help with your feelings but I wanted to say there is hope for you as i ended up with a girl!

I didn’t experience gender anxiety as such, but I did have gender disappointment with my first born. I convinced myself it was going to be a boy and pictured my life with a son. When I went for the scan and found out we were having a girl, I cried. I’m embarrassed to say that I was disappointed. I mourned the loss of a life that I thought I was never going to have. I did a lot of research as I felt such shame and apparently it’s quite common.
IT’S OK that you want a girl. IT’S OK for you to have a preference this time. Be kind to yourself.
My daughter is my absolute pride and joy, even if she is a madam most days 🤣 I just had to reimagine my life and adjust my thinking accordingly. You can do the same if you have another boy. Whatever happens, like you say, you will love your child no matter what. And if it is another boy, you could always have granddaughters in your future to spoil. My mum wanted a boy but had two daughters. Now she has three grandsons 🙂
