I had to do so much work travel in my first trimester! 2 nights in Frankfurt at 7 weeks, a week in New York at 9 weeks and two nights in Portugal at 12 weeks. Lots of flying. Baby was absolutely fine - can't wait to tell them about all the travel they did with me before they were even born. Have an amazing time in Denmark, I'm jealous.
I’ve just done a 1.5 hour flight at 13 weeks I was nervous too but spoke to midwife and she said that at this stage there’s definitely nothing to worry about xx
Thank you so much guys!! That’s definitely made me feel so much better! Everything makes you panic when baba is concerned doesn’t it 🤣 Welcome to motherhood I guess 🤣xx
We've just been to lanzarote so I had exact same anxious thoughts, my extensive Googling mostly found that airlines only ever stop you flying when you're in third trimester due to the risk of you giving birth in the air, but otherwise flying whilst pregnant was no issue whatsoever 😊
I just did a round trip to Hong Kong when I was 4 weeks pregnant. I will suggest you wear loose clothing and comfortable shoes as it can make you feet swollen when you are flying. Keeps moving your ankle during the flight helps. And drink plenty of water.
I’m 12 weeks and I’m currently overseas, my flight out here was 11 hours. Got another 10 hour flight home on Wednesday. Drink plenty water xx
I just travelled to Florida (9hrs there and 7.5 back) I was 16 weeks there and 17 weeks coming back. I wore compression socks (gp or midwife can give you them as they are slightly different to flight socks), stay hydrated and do leg exercises every 30 mins. I also walked up the aisle/ stretched legs once an hour I think flights under 4hrs are very low risk if you have an uncomplicated pregnancy
