Hi Mums!
Is there any hacks to getting rid of orange food stains (carrots, pumpkin etc) - particularly from silicone cutlery, silicone bowls and silicone bibs?

Honestly I have no advice only commentary. I started my LO on solids yesterday and we decided to start with carrot. Why did nobody tell me her ass would be stained orange after the first poo? Does she now permanently have an orange bum? Do I throw out the bibs and clothes she wears when eating carrot? Who knows 😂

Definitely following this!!
I’ve had to throw so many bibs….
Only thing that seems to work a little is to wash straight away…. Like really straight away. Would love to know any other tricks!!

My stains come out after a few washes with soap/laundry detergent plus booster and laundry stain spray from ALDI. But I also don't really care if utensils, bibs etc are discoloured 😅 bubs ate vegetables? Great, goal achieved 😅

I'm sorry, I can't stop laughing 😂 We just tried carrot for the first time last night, and again today, so now I'm dreading the post carrot poop! Her clothes, smock, silicone bib, silicone bowl and spoon are all stained, even though we wash everything with hot soapy water straight after eating 😩 sounds like her bum will be next!

I thought we were doing the right thing by trying that - we wash everything with hot, soapy water straight after feeding her - and it's worked fine with everything else up until the carrots yesterday 😩

Highly recommend Aldi Stain remover in the purple bottle. Gets any stain out! And then when I wash the clothes I add Napisan in the cycle and make sure only a cold cycle for all her clothes if any stains

They should come out in the wash if you're using warm washes (40°C) and appropriate amounts of detergent. A scrub with bar soap will probably help also.

Boiling hot water always works a treat for me
