Maxi Cosi Pria or Britax graphene?

I can't decide between the Maxi Cosi Pria and the Britax graphene! I love the Smart guide tether on the Pria but not sure if the rest of the seat is good or better to get the Britax. Anyone have any thoughts?

Are you able to go into a Baby Bunting and look at them in person? It might answer your question to have a hands on experience with both of them to get a better personal guide.

we got recommended the britax graphine by so many people but i hate it! the way the seatbelts cross over the seat make it near impossible to lift the baby in and out you have to lift them under the seatbelt nearly decapitating them each time šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø i paid for it to be professionally fitted so it’s set up correctly. also in this heat (qld) i find bub gets soooo sweaty inside it not sure they can be helped but it’s not cool material. im sure others might have a positive experience but this is just ours to date .

Owned both, significantly reccomend the Pria over the graphene. Better ERF, smart tether is so incredibly handy and just much better all round. No isofix but I actually found it much easier to get a great install than I did with isofix on the britax

I second getting into baby bunting. We had them try a couple
Of capsule in our car to check fit and the graphene was the only one that fitted well (I have a Hyundai Santa Fe highlander). We are having a second soon and will go in again to trial a couple of capsules which are an upgrade on our one from first Bub

@erica may I ask what you mean by the seatbelts cross over the seat? As in the car seat belt, the tether strap or the baby's harness?

Avatar

@erica you can loosen the side tether strap so that you don't have to lift bubs over or under 😊

We have both, one in each car - both great seats, bubs is very happy in each of them! We don't find the tether strap too much of a bother on the graphene as it takes 2 seconds to loosen and tighten 😊 would recommend seeing what fits best in your car

We have the graphene as it fits in our smaller car (Mazda 3).
The tether strap has never bothered me too much we lift bubs over it without loosening / tightening and she's 19 months and still rear facing.

We got a graphene and have been very happy with it

thanks we were not really given any instruction on how to use it so perhaps user error in this case i shall take a look tomrorow, when it was fitted they told us not to adjust it as it’s had been professionally fitted - thanks for the heads up

Pria! The smart guide is worth it, you don't have to bother with it at all. I git a grey one and even on a hot day it the fabric doesn't heat up too hot. It's so easy to use and it's compact so we got more room in the passenger seat.

I used Steelcraft- Aussie brand and so easy. There’s also a fan page that sells pre loved to give you an idea

The graphene is tricky to install but great if you’re in a smaller car. Works fine as our main car seat!

I recently got the pria and love it. I was finally able to move my front seat back a bit for extra room. And the smart guide does make it all less finicky getting her in and out of the car.
Even thought it doesn’t have isofix, the installation was really easy. There are a couple YouTube videos too.

that strap can be loosened easily and tightened again once they're in

thanks we were told by baby bunting not to touch it but from all the above comments clearly we were given dud advice lol 😜
