Cough mixture in pregnancy

I was told there was nothing safe to take and to just drink honey and lemon instead

I was told by the GP that’s there’s nothing safe. Instead have honey and lemon w warm water. I added ginger too

Consultant told me last week to take paracetamol & have hot drinks such as honey & lemon as it’s not worth the risk to take any cough medicine x

Simple linctus syrup is all we’re allowed, and I thought it was pretty pants. But if you need it, a pharmacist can prescribe it and you’ll get it in your free prescriptions. Hot drinks and paracetamol are the best way forward, as others have said

Is there a particular brand to look out for?

I’m not sure what it was called. My other half just spoke to the pharmacist and they gave him the bottle, it’s a non/own brand I think
