Numb hands and Arms

Mainly at night after laying for so long or in the day sometimes I am getting really numb hands. Read this can be carpal tunnel which is quite normal due to our increased blood flow. It did say speak to a doctor, I have tried to contact my midwife but no reply yet and doctors are shut now. Wondering if anyone had same thing and is basically nothing to worry about?

I have the exact same thing. It's suddenly got way worse over the last week - i'm 35 weeks tomorrow. I've not bothered to go to the doctors or anything as I didn't think theyd be able to do anything as it's down to fluid retention so I'm just hoping it resolves once baby is here! 🤞

it started for me last few weeks I’m 32 weeks now it’s so weird! Ok yeah I didn’t know if I need to bother with doctors it just said that in an online article as they can give you a thing to wear that helps apparently but I’m not sure how correct that is as just read it in a random website haha

Oh yea think I read you can wear a wrist splint actually. It's deffo Carpal tunnel tho for me, as my middle/index fingers and thumb tips have started to tingle/pins needles (that's how it's got worse this week) but I've had the numbness for about 2 months!

Numbness can also be a sign of pre eclampsia so I would just ensure you’ve been checked fully

I had a midwife appointment yesterday everything was normal so I guess it’s ok. I forgot to ask her then actually about the numbness but I will next time.
