3 month naps

My little guy is 3 months today and all of a sudden just doesn’t want to sleep. He does 2 three hour stretches starting at 9pm, but around 4am he’s restless and will sleep not deep and startles awake so easily. We just dropped the swaddle 2 weeks ago because he was breaking out of it.

His day naps have been impossible: we wake up for good around 7am and play and pay attention to his sleepy cues, but he never really falls asleep. Sometimes he will fall asleep for 10 minutes and just keep waking back up. We tried to hold him and put him in the swing. But lately he just will not go to sleep and stay asleep for a nap. He’s happy as can be, until he fusses and clearly needs a nap… which is only 10-30 minutes.

Does anyone put their 3 month old in a sleep suit or in a crib for scheduled naps? Is this something I need to start a routine on for him? He already put himself on a “let’s start bedtime at 7:30pm” routine, which was great. Maybe I just have a kid who needs a schedule 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly same here - we do crib naps for a few of the Naps but he’s been sleeping 30-45 mins in the day sometimes. I try to rock back to sleep but he doesn’t always want to go back down. Also feeding every 3 ish hours during the night. We had like a week of 4-5 long stretches then he turned 11 weeks and it’s like we started over. We are still in the swaddle ..tried unswaddling and he was so restless he wouldn’t go to sleep.

I’ve had success with long stretches of sleep using the baby Merlin sleep suit. Best of luck mama!

Honestly idk I just go with the flow , it’s stressful trying to follow a routine everyday . My almost 3 month old, naps in the crib and car seat if we’re out. Or his swing.
sleeps in the crib and sometimes on the couch with me.
Although I do look for sleepy tired cues, I just go with the flow of wherever he wants to sleep , sometimes it’s the position they’re in, or if they’re hot/cold. Or wet or extra hungry.
mine just started wanting to nap on his sides . And sleep at night on his back . But he switches it up too . Sometimes he wants arms down and sometimes he wants arms up and out lol

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x
