How to get my baby ready to start nursery?

Hi, I’m quite anxious and apprehensive about going back to work in May, my daughter who’s currently 7 months will be in nursery 2 days a week from May (she will be 11 months), and with my mum and sister are having her 1 day a week. She currently only has contact naps in the day, and is breastfed and nurses a lot just for the comfort. Is there anything I can start doing now to help her get ready for whole days without me?

Hey, the nursery should be offering settling in days to slowly ease her in and get her used to some faces before the big day.

You could also download a copy of the nursery’s daily routine and see if any of it aligns with what you do now and if not see if there’s anything you could slowly try to change such as meal times/ nap times.

This will make it easier as it would be a familiar routine when she goes in.

If not, not to worry as she will soon learn home routine and nursery routine and everything will all fall into place x

If you’re able to, you can pump and give the nursery fresh milk daily and they will give her that so she is still drinking BM

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!
