Calculating maternity pay

Hiya, does anyone know which weeks maternity pay is calculated from? Is it the 8 weeks prior to the 15 weeks before expected week of childbirth?? I’m due 27th July so I’ve worked out it’s the 11th Feb-7th April, does that seem right?

Thank you!xx

I think it's your last three payslips before taking your mat leave, so from about week 16 onwards I think? x

There is a maternity calculator on the NHS and works it out for you https://workforce.nhs.scot/calculators/maternity-leave-calculator/

Click on the above link , that's what I used to work mine out ☺️😊 xx

It's pay slips between weeks 17 and 25 (so normally 2 payslips). It's very depressing to calculate!

ahh thank you, so if I’m planning on doing overtime to bump my maternity pay I need to do it the month before the 17th week because we get paid for that the month after ??

@Katie as long as its paid between 17 and 25 weeks it will count. It only counts towards statutory maternity pay, not the OMP. I was very disappointed to learn that! 😂
