Does anyone else feel like their at that point in their life like what do I do from here, where do I go from here?? Like with career, family, motherhood, family, kids etc… like you wear sooo many hats. But, like what do you REALLY want to do in life… like for you??! Like where do you see yourself 5, 10 years etc … like just at a bump in the road or a cross road etc… Just wondering and thinking about life and where or what you want to do NEXT??! Hard to explain I hope I’m making sense and explaining it right… Hope this is relatable to someone else ..

Thanks I just feel like life been lifing lately and I’m just at a cross road…we put our all in our kids and our family and often forget about yourself….Mother just truly sacrifice it all and often lose themselves in the process. We truly put our life on hold completely

Definitely understand what you're talking about. Like "I wore this hat for so long, is this my identity now?" Is it selfish of me to want real me time and not just a break by taking a shower.🙄

you nailed it.. the shower is my only 10-15 minute escape if I’m lucky. I’m a fairly new mom I have a 12 month old & from working two full time jobs to SAHM and living off one income my husband’s income…. & not as many date nights, late night movies, or shopping trips; Motherhood is very humbling and at times lonely to. I feel like it was an overnight 360 turn, but I’m navigating. I just so wasn’t prepared for the antisocial part… kids shows 24/7 not much adult interaction…. From a social butterfly 🦋 to being like a bear in hibernation with little to no adult time/grown conversation is hard.

yup yup. Becoming a SAHM is like a blessing and a curse. I'm out here in rural Louisiana, the nearest neighbor is at least a half mile anyway and my nearest mom friend is 10 miles away. I am all alone with no access to a vehicle and even if it worked, we only have one car seat. My BD barely helps with anything and we don't do anything outside of this property.

Ugh 😩 yeah, that’s got to be hard. I get it. I understand motherhood is lonely at times 😔 no family in the area neither?
I tried to get creative with TikTok DYI 😂 but they get too expensive after a while and I suck at being creative 😂 so that got old. Cooking I do it sooo much now I feel like I gained 10-15 pounds home doing it a lot.
Being a SAHM is a 24 hour job that people down play. They think you just stay home watch your favorite tv shows, shopping sprees, order out, and live a soft life 😂 wouldn’t that be nice. But, it’s a lot more to it; at least at work you can have adult, make your own money etc. SAHM is a blessing, but we all know two incomes are better than one. But, daycare damn near a grande a month it’s best to stay home with your child and watch them because at least you know it’s done right!

Thank you 🫶🏾 this year I made this promise to start the year off right and do this for me. And take it for what it is self care and not selfish. Because to show up for them; I first got to show up for myself! ❤️ it’s noted and I’m going to start applying it!

You got it too!

Yes! But I feel like I’ve even been like that before my baby. I try and think of second source of income and always come to a stand still. I’m not creative enough

Yes, it’s hard honestly. Are you a SAHM as well?

yes!!

Yes, it’s hard and everything is a scam so it seems now a days .. and landing an at home job hasn’t been that easy for myself at all… I’m right there with you like what can you do for extra income. I explored my creativity and I learned I suck 😂 Seriously!

It’s Nice to have an idea of a goal you might have like: do you want to eventually go back to the career you had? Do you want a new one? Are there any steps you can take now to set yourself up for success? Example: are there podcasts you can listen to so you can work on your own mental health, are there online classes you can take to try out different fields or interests. It could be something you work on for yourself and have your spouse cover some evening or weekend time to develop your plans. Is there a hobby you want to invest more time in like journaling or sewing? You could set aside a small amount of time each day or once a week to have that time.
I essentially stopped reading because it felt like there was no time with 2under2, but my resolution is to read a minimum of 12 books this year. I’m finding time to do it, surprisingly. I’m incorporating more play dates hence adding this app!
Good luck 🍀❤️
