Anyone’s baby seem fussier at 5 weeks? She’s also been spitting up a little with each bottle which she wasn’t doing at all at first. We struggle with gas pain and have for a while now, but the spitting up concerns me a little. It isn’t like projectile or anything…just a small amount runs out the side of her mouth if she’s on her back.

Does she burp after feeding? Mine spits up the same way if she doesn’t burp or doesn’t burp enough. I hold her for maybe 15-20 minutes extra after feeding if I feel like she didn’t burp enough & it helps with not spitting & no hiccups. What do you use for gas?

Yeah we burp her during her bottle and when she’s done. Most of the time she will do it, but sometimes we can’t get one out of her. We were putting gas drops in her bottle but haven’t been lately because we didn’t feel like it was working. My husband and I were just saying maybe we need to give them to her directly though as needed?

When my daughter hit 6 weeks she had this problem and turns out it was acid reflux and I switched her formula and definitely noticed a difference with the fussiness and spitting up

what formula are you using?

our pediatrician said we could try the sensitive version of the Similac 360 total care. We haven’t yet because I’m not convinced it’s the issue, but I’m starting to think it wouldn’t hurt to try

That’s what we started off with after I stopped breastfeeding I still have some of the liquid bottles

My boy is 6 weeks old as of yesterday and he started doing this at 5 weeks old. He always grunts and stretches and like gags and pushes his tongue out like trying to push out spew or spit, I've also noticed my boy being more drooly with spit.
I have him on NAN formula. Have since he was born. 150mils 5scoops. I pull him up at LEAST 3 times per bottle to burp and again after he is done. Sometimes we get burps out of him but lately I've noticed he has actually been harder to burp then normal and spit spews way more then normal.
After a bottle Id lay him in my arms after burping to see if he still has wind (he usually squirms ect) but he goes content and eyes closed. I then lay him sitting upright on a pillow he fussed a little bit not much. But on his back no matter what he spits and does the above symptoms I said. almost always see his hair wet from doing so.
But he is content as well.
Last night I couldn't get a burp out of him for 2 hours. He ended up falling asleep so I put him in his bassinet next to-

-next to me and he settled and stayed asleep. So all was well until the morning. Only to wake up to him stirring when he is due for a feed so my partner got him out of bed and he burped twice and spewed ALL down my partner 🤷 I'm unsure at what to do because it's not ALL THE TIME but almost is now.
Any ideas? Have you swapped formula yet? How has that been since if you have? X
