Partner doesn’t like the name I love

Hi
How do you navigate naming your child when you ADORE one name (out of a LONG list) and partner chooses 3 below average names 😕

My partner didn’t like the name I wanted (Lincoln) so I just used to subtly mention it 😂 he ended up letting me have the name and we agreed he could choose the middle name. Maybe let your partner use one of the names he likes for the middle name x

that’s what I thought 😋

Find a way round it, I adored Romeo and it was the only name I fell in love with for a boy but my son's dad just wouldn't go for it. I shortened it in a way and went with Mio, for my second (don't know gender) as well as a couple of other names I like Romy lol, I guess Romeo is still on my mind 😂

Romy is my second favourite name and he hates that too 🤦🏼‍♀️

Mine came around (sort of) and we are using my fave name as the middle name. It has been a nightmare though we have gone round and round in circles! Boy was easy, found girl so difficult! Good luck ☺️

mines actually gender neutral as we don’t know what we are having and I don’t want to budge 🩷🩵

Try having a husband that thinks Lois is a great name and Aubree is terrible. His tastes are so odd that I’m just going to pick this time. The first one we found a name we both liked only because he’s always loved Superman. (Clark). The second one we just agreed on something we both were okay with but didn’t love (Kyla).

my niece’ name is Lois. LOVE the name but can’t use it. I’m with your husband here.

I hope he come round, my partner is completely against my favourite name and I'm heartbroken I'll never get to use it. I'm dreading ever meeting someone whose names their child it, I'll be so jealous and bitter 🤣

My partner hated every name I had since a little girl and would have any of it lol. So Luca was the agreed name. It suits him and I couldn’t see him any other way and find it crazy to think if I had it my way he would of been Blake 😂

My partner vetoed my favourite names for both genders. It was frustrating but fair enough since it’s his baby too. We just kept searching until we found names we both liked 😊

I changed my mind a few days before my girl was born and went with what my husband wanted - he came up with loads of great nicknames and sounded really excited. It was absolutely the correct decision in the end x

My husband hates alll names I like always did took me 8 weeks to name my last girl over him 🤜

I gotta know what it is

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Exercise 6 weeks after c section

What movement did people start to introduce? I won’t do anything too vigorous until I’ve seen the pelvic physio as I don’t want to compromise anything that may have been extremely weakened through pregnancy! But just wondering what types of classes/movement people started off with?

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲
