Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

I did after my LO was born she wasn't going up on the centile line when I was getting her weighed so they referred me to pediatrician and they just discharged her after a year and they finally admitted she is on the small side x

Yes yes me! Just now! My OB suggested to send me to high risk at 20 weeks or come back in four weeks to try to measure again. So we chose to get a second measurement. At that point it was not much better. So we went to a high risk maternal fetal medicine doctor in the city. After the appointment they said our baby is completely fine and healthy. Because I’ve actively been going through this experience this week! I’ve posted in some other groups and had a lot of women reach out to me with similar stories offering so much reassurance that it was okay and was going to be okay! If you want to chat about it further please don’t hesitate to reach out! I wish I had someone to chat with during that time of waiting to get more scans done

Mine was on the 6th percentile but she’s absolutely fine, she just has a small head but my son does, think it’s hereditary from my side 😂

Thankyou ladies! I really needed this! I’ve been freaking out massively for 24 hours!

My little girl was on the 3rd centile at 20 weeks. We were referred to fetal medicine who scanned a few days later, everything looked good with the brain so the weren’t worried. Did some bloods to rule out infection and repeated a growth scan in 4 weeks. Head still small but growing so they were happy. She came out happy and healthy with a normal sized head!

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏
