Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for the best type of underwear to get to wear during c section recovery?

Thank you, I shall take a look into them, I wasn't too sure if it was best to get loosely fitting or tight? X

I used the fridamom shorts too in the first couple of weeks and they were great. After that, I have only reached for high waisted underwear, things that sit above the scar.

Honestly, just cotton full briefs. Nothing fancy, I got a 5 pack from M&S and they were so comfy I used them after both C-sections. I never wore disposable pants, I just had full briefs with a maternity pad comfortably.

Lived in the Fridas for about two weeks and then just high waisted cotton briefs, sound incredibly boring but my god are they comfortable. I think I had some from M&S and TU and won’t lie I still wear them now seeing bloaty days x

Thank you all! I have 19 days before I'm booked for my c section so I thought I best get ordering something 🙈😂 x

Another vote for Frida mom. My incision was dressing free after 24 hours and I was so worried about something rubbing on it but they were so comfy x

I just got xl knickers/short knickers from Primark

To be honest, I’ve had 2 sections (emergency and planned) and I never bothered with the special underwear. Like others have said, I just got larger high waisted ones from Tesco. I still wear them now (9 weeks pp) as my scar is still tender at times

And another vote for the Frida shorts. I actually found the hospital netted shorts comfortable too. Then swapped for full on high waisted cotton granny pants 😂😂 slowly going back to my usual underwear now at 16 weeks pp but mindful of my scar.

Frida shorts

High waisted period knickers from M&S 🙌🏼
I am having my second c section on Saturday, I am so nervous I keep hearing having a scheduled c section is so much calmer but I am so nervous, and nervous about how I am going to manage a newborn and a toddler that is so attached to me

It happened.
After my c-section I laid in that hospital and I said NEVER AGAIN. I’m never going through the experience of birth (c-section or vaginal) EVER AGAIN.
I told my husband “sorry babe, after this I am one and done. I can’t do this type of trauma and pain ever again”.
My boy is 3 months old now, I looked at his adorable little face… and said
“Shit I want another”.
Hope all the June mamas are hangin in!

So I’m 34 weeks and baby has been measuring large (only his tummy) since 2 growth scans ago which is bringing him to the 98th percentile and currently guessed at 5.6lbs!
My first baby was born at 7.11lbs so they have said he is big for my gestation in comparison
I am in so much pain and have been in preterm labour since 29 weeks so the contractions have been awful but never any progression! And his movements have slowed right down despite positive CTG and scans showing he is okay
Has anyone had this with baby? Gestational test was negative and I have a blood sugar test on Saturday
I have a midwife appointment and I’m wondering about requesting induction at 37 weeks ( I had my last at 38 weeks and almost ended up in a C section as my pelvis was to narrow and be kept getting stuck) so I’m getting very anxious about trying to deliver an even bigger baby!!
Thankyou in advance
