Bad morning

My husband went back to work is only been 4th day and I feel like I'm losing myself more. I am so tired baby decided to give more issues going down at night and during day won't stay down long unless I'm my arms. I'm so anxious, I'm so tired. I missed my old self. I miss not being a mom. I feel guilty about that. My husband doesn't get it.

I know how you feel. I felt so guilty thinking “I don’t want to do this anymore.” My fiancé went back to work when my baby was 4 weeks old and I cried for a week. I just want you to know it gets easier, eventually. I made a big weekly routine schedule out of painters tape on my kitchen wall, and I fill it with the week’s plans (meals, appointments, chores, and something to do each day that’s “fun”) and it has helped me so much to have a routine. In a few weeks you’ll probably feel more empowered and realize how well you’re doing and that you’re doing it all alone! When your husband gets home from work each night, hand him the baby, go into the kitchen and cook dinner with headphones in and listen to/watch something for an hour while you cook and decompress. It gets better, the baby gets easier, you get stronger everyday. You’re doing so good ❤️

My baby was like that at first, I started out by swaddling for each nap and preheating the crib/bassinet with a heating pad before I put him in so he doesn’t lose the “warmth” and then he started not to notice when I’d put him down. I also keep my hand on his chest and a finger on his pacifier for 2 mins while he settles into the mattress so he feels my contact while he drifts off!
