Baths in pregnancy!

Hi all, I love a bath but haven't actually had once since being pregnant as I'm worried about it being too hot etc. What is the temperature a bath can be at and still be safe? I've even bought a thermometer to check it 🤣

Oh I have had so many baths 😂

I practically live in the bath, baby also moves so much when I’m in the bath, which is nice to see and feel x

I’ve been having baths like normal as long as it’s not burning hot I think it’s fine - everything’s good with baby and I’ve had a few nice hot baths

I’ve read online that as long as you’re not sweating you’re fine to have a bath

I love a good bath! They've also been helping with some of the aches and pains... advice online varies from max 35-39 degrees, I also use a thermometer and have been sticking to 37degrees to be on the safe side https://www.emmasdiary.co.uk/pregnancy-and-birth/1st-trimester-of-pregnancy/can-i-have-a-hot-bath-during-pregnancy

I've been bathing but just keeping it at a temperature that's comfortable to get in and doesn't make me sweat! Also, check your products. I used epsom salts the other week but the next time I had a bath I realised it says not to use them in pregnancy

I've been sticking to 37° my midwife told me that baths are still ok after 12 weeks and can actually help with our aches and pains 👍🏼

I’ve been having so many baths too, I haven’t been checking the temp but just making sure it’s not too boiling and I’m not sweating etc. if I get hot I sit up and add some more cold water x

oh interesting. It's Westlab Starry Night which is a Christmas one and it says "Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding" so it sounds very certain!

Normal Epsom salts are safe during pregnancy. I’ve also been having hot baths throughout with no issues x

Still trying to have (hot) baths. My trouble is getting out 🥴

As long as they aren't super hot it's fine. We keep pool temperature at 37 degrees for water births. X

I’m absolutely addicted to having baths. Whenever my bump is tightening or causing discomfort I have a bath and just listen to music and feel like I proper bond with baby. I just make sure it’s warm but not boiling to the point where I’m sweating x
