Hi, so I’m currently 12 weeks 4 days with baby number two and about a week and a half ago we found out we’re having a boy. I currently have a 20 month old girl and am wondering what items should I get for my son that are different or you didn’t think of when you had a girl? If everything is the same lmk. Also what was different that you did with your boy vs your girl? I’m so happy to have one girl and one boy but I want to be as prepared as possible. This is going to be our last baby as well so it’s bittersweet 🥹💙

Only difference I'd say is make sure his willy is facing down in his nappy to reduce chance of leaks, and when you undo his nappy, sort of open it then put it back over him to give him chance to wee. Seemed my son would always wee as soon as air got on him 😂

I hadn’t even thought about where to start with diaper changes😅 I knew it’d be different but thank you for the advice! I heard they pee on you a lot 😂

@Abby yeah haha the quick airing before lying the nappy back down for a few sec definitely helps with that 😂

How did you find out gender before 16 weeks?

Interested to know how you found out the gender so early as here you have to be over 16 weeks to find out. I'm desperate to know what ours is going to be!

you can pay for a test privately 😊

I found out bc here they do nipt testing at 10 weeks and up and I opted for that which also tells gender

What's NIPT testing?

it’s basically a test that tests for chromosomal disorders and also fetal sex thru a simple blood draw

do they just take blood through your arm?

yes they do
