Pregnancy anxiety

Hey, I'm pregnant with ny 4th child and I've always had a bit of anxiety over my pregnancies as i had a traumatic birth experience the first time and complications during pregnancy the 2nd time, with my 3rd I was OK, everything was just straight forward but this time I have terrible anxiety that something is wrong. I don't know why but I'm terrified about going to my scan incase they find something. Anyone else ever feel like this?

My anxiety was the worst with my third. I just had this horrible feeling that I would never see her alive. It made my pregnancy unbearable and I couldn’t name her or bond with her at all. She’s 5 now and perfectly healthy!

Im like this with my second. Its horrible 😭 My first pregnancy with my son was pretty smooth sailing but I've had minor issues with this 1. I'm constantly petrified that I'm going to go to my next scan and they tell me my baby girl has no heartbeat. I have an anterior placenta too so that makes things worse. X

@Madisen I feel exactly the way you do. I'm currently 19+3 and haven't enjoyed my pregnancy in the slightest. I'm convinced I'm never going to see my baby girl alive and I feel like I wont ever bond with her. X

Omg I had this when I was pregnant. I was CONVINCED 100% that something was wrong with my baby and she wasn’t going to make it to earth side. I also had perinatal OCD. Well, after all that, she made it and is a healthy newborn. I worried so much, and none of my worries were founded. I would talk to your OB about how you’re feeling. They can provide a lot of reassurance, and it’s common for you to be feeling this way. Idk how you feel about medication, but there are options, and they help. You aren’t alone.

anterior placenta is the worst 😫 I didn’t feel my baby move as often or as strongly as I would like, and from 36 weeks to when I gave birth (40+2) her movement changed and became super faint and infrequent. I would have to really pay attention to feel her move, and it FREAKED me out. I went to L&D a million times, and got NSTs at the office many times those last 4 weeks, but apparently it’s normal for that to happen as baby is running out of room, but the anterior placenta made it 10 times worse. She’s here and healthy though! I would say don’t be afraid to express any and all concerns to your OB. That’s what they’re there for!

@Sarah when did you first feel your baby move? I'm 19+4 and haven't really felt anything. It's scary 😨 I've got my 20 week scan on Wednesday and am convinced I'm gonna go and they say my baby no longer has a heartbeat. I cant cope c

I felt her move for the first time at my 20 week scan! I think I was 20+5, and it was so faint, I’m certain I was feeling her before, but I didn’t know it was movement. It felt like a little poke/twitch. I felt it during my scan, and the tech goes, “did you feel that kick?,” and I was like OMG THAT’S MOVEMENT!!!!?? Best feeling in the world! I waited so long for that moment!

So you may be feeling your baby and not even know it! It’s super infrequent though until you get closer to the third trimester, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t feel much every day if at anything at all.

@Sarah thankyou for that. Its helped to put my mind at rest a little bit. Movements with my son were the best!I'll be back Wednesday to update with the results of my scan ❤️
