50/50 joint legal and physical custody in CA. There is nothing specific other than the general 50/50 custody. Bm decided to get sd ears pierced w out even telling dh. Can he file contempt. Should he? Or does it seem silly?

I’m saying she’s nine so it’s not like she can sign for herself like she’s 18. And at that point it’s up to the parents. She let him know. If they have 50-50, shouldn’t they be letting each other know at the very least or deciding that together when having the final say?
they both have primary. They both have 50-50 legal custody and are supposed to be consulting with each other before making decisions like this, according to our Judge.
makes sense and that’s why I wanted another opinion. We are already in court so I guess it doesn’t matter.
i’m sorry if I sounded disrespectful at all to you because of your honest opinion that I asked for. I appreciate you taking the time and being honest.❤️ thank you.

any decision about the child should be discussed and agreed with .. with both parents... depending on how your court order is worded it is contempt......
it’s not very specific right now since we are still in court, but it just says physical and joint legal custody 50-50 for both.
I definitely think that body modifications, especially since she is so young right now it’s not like she’s a teenager should be at the very least notifying the other parent that they plan to do some thing and to let them know if they have any concerns
Dh I had concerns because right now sd has poor hygiene habits and she is behind for her age. We wanted to tackle the basic hygiene and cleanliness things before adding some thing else that has the potential to get an infection very quickly. That was his concern along with the fact that Bm responded to him by saying she doesn’t care if he agreed, or to tell him

I'm with you 100%... I would tell him since you are still in court to get something like that in black and white but it's not fair for one parent to make decisions like that... I know my husband agreement it very detailed about things like that so don't be afraid to ask
yeah at this point he is definitely asking. It’s just general joint legal custody, but even though it’s not outlined the specifics, I feel like she should kind of assume certain things like this being part of it. Are you in California? Have you dealt with court before? One of his main concerns is that he doesn’t want to appear like the high conflict one or the annoying one and problematic he doesn’t want it to seem like he is a bombarding, the court and stuff
