Ibuprofen or Motrin maybe try

Make sure you add honey to your lemon it soothes the pain

Take 800 mg of ibroprofen. Have you tried also throat spray that numbs it?

Hot tea

Dissolvable paracetamol when I had tonsillitis.

Unfortunately nothing is great, including Tylenol - if desperate, you can get away with a little Tylenol or robotussin…Honey, lemon, tea, tumeric/ginger/garlic/onion, or echinacea and other viral fighting vitamins are helpful but nothing gives immediate relief honestly

Pretty sure the only pain reliever you can take when you're pregnant is tylenol.

You shouldn’t take ibuprofen nor safe during pregnancy

As far as i know, if you’re currently pregnant you can only have Tylenol but if you’re postpartum you can do ibuprofen too.

Hi Clare, sorry you’re going through that, it’s frustrating to say the least, and I can relate! I struggled with my tonsils a lot in my youth, and up until the end of 2020, when I finally had enough and decided to get a tonsillectomy before TtC. I used to get sick constantly, I now only get sick (maybe) once a year- if even that (knocking on wood 🪵, hoping to not jinx myself 🤪). Of course everyone is different and with surgery there is always a risk, I had post op bleeding- which happens in 3% day of to day after, and 1% within the first week. I was the 1%. Don’t quote me on that %, but those are the stats that I recall from back then. Regardless, I don’t regret it in the slightest and would do it again. If that’s something you’re considering at any point, happy to share more. I won’t sugar coat it: recovery process was intense, & the post op bleeding was a bit scary but resolved easily for me- in the end it was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.
