Hi, so my LO is 7 months, have been on soy formula for about 4 1/2 months, but on Saturday started projectile vomiting any time she would eat (formula and solids), yesterday only did it twice (once at 4 am and once in the afternoon), but today immediately did with her first bottle. We have a dr appt today, but any ideas what it could be? She also has like a rash on her hands up to her elbows that flares up when she vomits. I feel so bad for her, Ik she’s hungry and just wants to feel better.

Hi mama! Yikes I'm so sorry this is happening to your little! When my oldest son was on formula anytime he was hot, he threw it up right away. Have you ruled out dirty bottles - soap residue?

hi! Yes ma’am, I’m very almost OCD when it comes to making sure her bottles are clean but have no soap residue left in it because her dad actually did that a couple times when he washed her bottles cause he’d use too much soap lol

Hi Angela!
I’m so sorry to hear this is happening. I know it can be super scary. I would definitely ask her doctor, but she might be allergic to the formula she has. When we started combo feeding, my baby would projectile vomit but was also hungry. The doctor said he was allergic to a protein in the formula.

could it be her formula even though she’s been on the same formula for 4 1/2 months? I debated whether or not it could be and that she developed an intolerance towards it

I think it could definitely be her formula and i’m praying that’s all it is and hopefully will be an easy fix! My little was on soy for a bit and did great on it for a while, then all of a sudden gave him awful stomach aches and baby acne/ rashes. We haven’t had an issue since changing his formula

oh wow!!! Okay! What did you switch to

Well it turned out he didn’t need soy formula so if your little still needs soy I don’t know which option would be best :( BUT we switched to Similac 360 total care sensitive originally, but now he is on the cheaper just Similac sensitive

Also I know i’ve read a lot of things saying never put cereal in bottles, but he had a problem ever since he was little with spitting up a ton. So our pediatrician said to add cereal. It helped immediately. (Just wanted to add that I do that along with his formula)

thank yooou!!

My baby is on soy milk to and projectile a lot but the doctors said that it was because she has acid reflex which she takes medicine for it but idk
