As long as your obgyn says it's fine for you to be on those meds, the baby will be fine there is lots of research that claims it doesn't hurt the baby

My doctor was absolutely adamant that I come off my low dose adderall prescription prior to even conceiving. Per FDA, adderall is a Category C narcotic. There is very little reliable research on the effects. Some studies show that therapeutic doses and inadvertent exposures are low risk. There are cases where benefits of continuing a safe course of the medicine may outweigh the risks.

However, if you have an addiction, are taking high doses, or are taking *both vyvanse and adderall* simultaneously, then you are playing with fire.
Preterm birth, low birth weight, placental abruption, and preeclampsia are all known to be related. These stimulants do cross the placenta.

Please talk to your healthcare provider and come up with a safe, lower risk treatment plan.
