3cm dilated

Had my first stretch and sweep yesterday at 39w2d and my midwife was pleasantly surprised that I was already 3cm dilated. Fingers crossed labour is just around the corner, I've been having early labour symptoms for the last 4 weeks 🥴

How did you find the stretch and sweep? Heard that it can be painful/uncomfortable

Avatar

@Tegan I honestly was expecting worse. I've been getting lightning crotch constantly for weeks and it felt really similar to that for me so I guess I'm used to the feeling 😅 It definitely wasn't as bad for me as I've heard some other people have experienced.

I’m going to ask for a stretch and sweep Thursday with the midwife, I’ll be 39+1. Having loads of braxton hicks, period pains, and pressure

I’m thinking the same at my appointment Friday but was just nervous since I’ve heard a lot of women saying it’s super uncomfortable (not like birth is any better)

my friend has had it done twice and she said it was so quick and kinda like pressure rather than pain

I had my stretch and sweep done yesterday morning too! I was 3cm dilated and about 80% effaced.
I lost my mucous plug last night and my waters broke around lunchtime today!

Hopefully youre feeling okay! Goodluck for whats to come lovely!❤️❤️❤️

I don’t know how to word this politely but from my experience getting a stretch and sweep felt like being fingered when you’re not at all turned on 😂 it doesn’t hurt, just odd 😅

Straight forward and honest, love it 😂😂

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
