I’m 37 weeks pregnant today and a week ago I just moved houses due to a DV situation with my ex partner to make sure I was safe and Bub was going to bub safe when he is born. There is an AVO in place it isn’t due to court until April this year. Now I moved into what looked like a really lovely cottage, but now being here, I can smell black mold which has been covered up, there’s is no ventilation within the house and the house get a very humid where my sheets are so damp at night, spiders and bugs everywhere and it doesn’t matter about bug bombing or even if I spray the windows and doors at night with bug spray, earwig bugs come up through the drains in the bathroom and even my couch is damp. I’ve been sick now all week and I’m worried about giving birth and bringing Bub back to this house. I’m not sure what to do at this point and I’m highly stressed out. I don’t know how it’s legal to rent a place out in this condition at all, especially when they know I’m heavily pregnant. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! I’ve been crying all week and alone and my brain is just switching off more then it was before

I’m so sorry to hear this. I moved while 34 weeks pregnant and it’s not easy. The cities have code inspection. Call your local city office and inquire about the office that Incharge of providing landlord inspections. File a complaint. In my area it’s called neighborhood service centers.
