Night terrors?

I don’t know if I’m just over thinking it my my 17 month old wakes up screaming and this has honestly been happening for months so long that I couldn’t really pin point exactly when it started but at first I thought it was gas and maybe it was but now I’ve realized that when he wakes up in the middle of the night screaming I don’t think he’s actually awake because his eyes are closed! Lately I have SOMETIMES been able to pat him back to sleep but we bed share and he is breastfed still I’m not sure if these are night terrors but it freaks me out to wake up to him screaming bloody murder is there in one who has experienced this? Is it normal is there anything that helped you?

Been happening to us too. I think either nightmares or imagination going wild in the dark bc she was also pointing to an embroidery. I was reading toddlers’ imagination is quite something so who knows what they think they are seeing!
