My 8.5 month old boy was born 9lb 4oz (4.06kg) which put him just on the 91st percentile.
Since then I wouldn’t say his weight has followed a consistent pattern; it’s been in 75th, 50th and now 25th percentile.
I got him weighed on 17th November and he was 7.75kg, then got him weighed today (10th January) and he’s only 8.3kg.
So that’s only half a kg in nearly two months?!
For context…he’s been crawling since 6 months old and is I guess very active (I’m exhausted keeping up with him 😂).
Been weaning since 6 months old and been on consistent two meals a day up until this week where I’ve started given him lunch too. We do BLW so he eats what we eat and he doesn’t just throw it around, he eats it all…
I’ve been exclusively pumping this whole time so he’s been having expressed breast milk no more than a few days old as I have quite an over supply and have been able to build up a fridge stash.
When he’s not teething or ill 🙃 he could quite easily have 8oz of milk each bottle.
The HV didn’t seem that worried because he’s active and not ‘lost weight’ but I thought dropping that many percentiles after birth wasn’t good?
Has anyone else experienced this too?!
I just don’t want to be missing something.
TIA 🫶🏻

Depends on you and your partners builds too? I'd say that's a normal amount of weight if he's really active but give him larger portions of food if you're worried

Mine eats five times a day .. 3 meals with me and 2 snacks, and 3 BF.
If he's eating until he's saticfied/bored/ starts playing with it instead of eating, and he isn't showing signs of hunger between meals he's probably fine.
There should always be a little left over.
Keep an eye on it and if he keeps dropping down the percentiles mention it again to your healthcare provider
Mine is 8 months old and has fluctuated from her birth percentile to the one below it, and back up. Born 4.2kg and is 10.1kg now. She dropped down from 99th to 95th percentile in month 5, when she started getting really interested in food but I was still exclusively BF her

My 11 month old twin have been all over them, my little girl started on the 12th by 6 months was upto the 55th and has now dropped to the 30th. Only putting on 6oz in 2 months.
My little boy started on the 9th dropped down to the 2nd by 6 months and is now on the 15th. Putting on 12oz in 2 months.
Both of my babies are very active. Crawling and cruising - never still for a minute. The health visitor was concerned and has actually put us back to normal visits now - (was in for weight reviews very often). Babies all grow at their own rate and burn soo much energy. Xx
