My baby recently started spitting up after eating. He is breastfed. Never had this issue before when he would eat.
I reached out to the pediatrician and she said sit him up for at least 30mins after eating. Well I've tried that and it could be an hour after he ate and we do tummy time and he will spit up or sometimes throw up.
Anyone had to deal with this or have suggestions on what could be the cause?

my baby spits up a ton. My ped says it’s normal and fine as long as they’re gaining g weight and not distressed after

Yes I'm going through the same thing!
It's not bad enough that we've asked his pediatrician yet, but it had never really been an issue until the last week or so (he'll be 12 weeks tomorrow).
It seems relatively inconsistent - I thought it was mostly just with his first feed of the day when my jugs are extra full, but it's also happened when papa gives him BM in a bottle. We always spend a while burping and stayimg upright, but I honestly don't feel like that's been making any difference. Sometimes he doesn't even spit up for like an hour and a half or two hours after eating, which has been weird and surprising. It also seems to happen more just when he's on his back - not when there's extra pressure during tummy time or anything.
My diet hasn't really changed, so I'm not sure what's causing it. It's almost like his stomach suddenly just shrank somehow.
yes! You basically described exactly what we are going through

spit up increases from 2-6 months. totally normal. my baby also started spitting up sometimes and never did the first couple months.
