How do you find motivation?

Hi guys, I used to be a workout-aholic, but since having my baby boy, I have such a hard time hyping myself up to work out. It used to be my passion, and now it feels like more work to do. This page definitely gives me a bit of motivation, and it's super fun to see that other people are staying positive and getting in shape. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Start small.. set aside thirty minutes and go outside for a brisk thirty minute walk. Do that every day for two weeks and add onto it. Build your foundation of small habits and before you know it you will fall back into your workout-a-Holic routines!

I struggle with this too, I find classes or things that interest me. I hike more, run a mile every day plus my kids like going fast lol 😂. I just breathe,do some yoga it’s not always about the gym. I hope this helps a little. Also where I live they have a mommy workouts groups to help each other be motivated

(20min a day and only 3 days a week a gooood mooove “lift” is enough)
Somehow this reality helps me every weeek! I usually workout more than that and even if I do have shitty workout those are better than none! đŸ„č

For me my kid was my motivation I started my pregnancy with my son already overweight and I just gained more weight throughout the pregnancy as its normal to gain weight when pregnant but after I had my son I lost 100 pounds by eating healthy and exercising when he was sleeping or in his swing he was also born in may so I did a lot of walking with him in his stroller my weight has always been something I've struggled with but when I wiegh less my athena is a lot better and I don't have as much back pain for me my goal was to be able to hold my son without back pain and be able to play with him without needing my inhaler I think what helped me is having a purpose a goal that moved me idk if this helps but I think if you can ask yourself why you want this and have small goals for yourself it helps for me each time I accomplished a small goal it helped motivated me to keep going

All of these are super good tips. I've had some postpartum depression that seems to be gradually making most days harder and harder to move. Luckily, where I live has had some good snow, so I've been able to play outside with my boy one day of sledding and some small walks so far. Do those count as workouts? I've been counting them.đŸ˜†đŸ€ŠđŸŒâ€â™€ïž

Ya that’s exercise I count that

Find accountability partners and challenge yourself for 21 days. That's literally what worked for me. I am getting ready to start on a new 21 day challenge for February and super excited to get back into it too

I was a workout-aholic well. I wake up at 4am do a whole pre-workout routine, arrived at the gym by 5am. Weekly check ins with my coach. Bodybuilding etc. I was preparing for a show when I got pregnant. And I didn’t know. I got married in August and I was working out so hard. I found out I was pregnant 1 week before my wedding lol (already 8 weeks). When I came back from my wedding I took 1 week break that ended up being almost 6 months. I am was so tired and exhausted. I tried waking up early and I couldn’t. Also I was in a very toxic job that drained me even more. I started feeling so bad for myself, I couldn’t accept the fact that my body was changing and I wasn’t doing anything. From eating 6 times a day to eat almost nothing and “bad foods”. So I decided to find a more “pregnant friendly” gym. I wanted to go back so bad and nobody was going to do it for me. So I found a gym that has a lot of groups classes. I was being honest with myself and knew I was not ready

For solo lifting workouts. I made a commitment to go at least 2-3 times per week to any classes just to have some movement. And to try to go to the early classes (5:30 am) I have been back at the gym for 2 weeks now. Dam I was so sore. I was so tired, a few days I didn’t wanted to wake up but I did regardless (workout aholic) it is discipline. I find the groups classes to be very helpful. I am telling my story in case someone feels identify. It is hard, I know. It is now easy. But I had to start doing it for myself, because I really feel great after a workout. I feel myself. It is hard to get your ass out of home/bed but after you are done with the workout you will feel much better. You need to be your own motivation. If you don’t do it for yourself nobody will do. đŸ€đŸ™đŸŒ
