Hii! Looking for recommendations on a shampoo/conditioner for curly hair. My daughter has voluminous curly hair and the current shampoo I use seems to leave her hair a bit dry. We use the baby dove textured hair care with curl nourishment (ill leave a photo) what are you guys using for your curly hair babies lol.

Cetaphil is really good as well as the little curls range from only curls

Try shea moisture baby

My baby has straight hair so I don’t have any specific baby product recommendations, but I am a hairstylist so I can tell you that moisture is the most important thing to look for! Aveda shampoos are safe for babies but they are not tear free in case you are looking for something a little stronger than a baby shampoo!

cosmetologist and kids braider here-
i recommend curly kids brand. i use it on my clients and my own kids. it’s affordable, super great quality ingredients, gentle, and gives great results.
avoid brands like dove, cantù, shea moisture, brands like that. they’re extremely harsh and stripping. they cause frail dry hair when used long term. i’ve never seen good results from these products long term.
also avoid coconut oil. it is very drying and too large to be absorbed by the skin or hair. it sits on the top and draws in impurities. leaving build up, clogged pores, and clogged follicles. it’s comedogenic, so just avoid it.
grapeseed oil is the best oil to use. it’s molecules are very small so it’s easily absorbed. it also is noncomedogenic, meaning it won’t clog your pores or hair follicles, and it won’t leave a layer of grease and build up on the surface of the hair. i add rosemary and castor oil it the grapeseed to promote growth, strength, moisture retention, and overall health.

My daughter has the most wild and untamable curls. I don’t know why or who she got them from cause it ain’t me or her dad lol.
I actually got chewed out in the store for buying a curl product for her hair. Cashier was African American, the product I was buying was I think specifically for African American people but it was my last ditch effort because nothing else was working. She got on me because “that baby ain’t black” I said no but her hair has very tight curls and if I don’t keep them moisturized she looks like Albert Einstein. Sooooo. 😂😂

Side note too: the curl cream ain’t helping much. Once her hair is fully dry or she lays down they go wild again. So ima be looking into this shampoo!

Thank you all SO SO SO MUCH!!!🤩🤩🤩

i lol’d ! Sometimes i call my daughter baby Einstein for this exact reason. Her hair!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

this is so helpful! Thank u so much🥹🥹

Hi👋🏼 So my daughter has so much hair and beautiful curls. I have tried two all natural clean hair products that are not sold in stores. Christina's Curls, who I found on Instagram and Prose. Christina's Curls is specifically for babies and kids. I love how soft and shiny my daughter's hair was after using the product. Prose was for me and then I ran out of the conditioner for my daughter and used my conditioner on her and the results are just as amazing. Soft, shiny, and smells amazing. Both products are very clean, free of all those harsh chemicals. It has been working for me and my daughter, it is a bit on the pricey side compared to other products typically sold for babies. I feel it has been worth it.

hi! I messaged you :) thank u
