Baby names

Ezra Rose or Ezra Zoey (first name, middle name) are the only names that have felt right for my partner and I for our baby girl. We know the names origins, we know it’s traditionally a boy name, but we’ve done our research and know it’s gained lots of popularity over the last few years for both girls and boys. It was in the top 1000 registered baby girl names for a few years, since 2021; I think it still is! We picked it simply because it was an E name that we found to be strong, cute, and cool. I loved the name since I was a kid and I don’t know where I first heard it. Rose and Zoey are both more feminine middle names that have different sentimental values for us, but I think they also balance well with the name.

My MIL said horrible things like: “thats a jew name” “thats a boys name” “she has to live with that?” I regret telling her. It put such a bad taste in my mouth and now I feel worried. I’m 27 years old. People in my generation have responded positively to the name, but our parents (other than my mom) killed my spirits about a name that I originally adored for our baby. My partner doesn’t give a damn, he still loves the name.

If you like the name, pls say nice things lol. Feel free to recommend other names too if you want. Just don’t say rude shit like what I’ve already heard from my MIL, or like mentioning Ezra Fitz from PLL because I’ve heard that too. 😭🥹🧡
