Hair pulling
My 23 month old twiddles my hair for comfort when falling asleep/general comfort when he’s awake - but it’s starting to really hurt!! I’ve tried several things to stop it in the past - asking for kind hands, or saying ouch or even pulling his hair a little to show him it hurts (I know that one seems harsh) - but I literally am clueless. He won’t use a comforter at all - has never been interested and throws them out of the cot or out of my arms… anyone got any tips? X

Yes, instead of waiting until he does it, start doing it to him. Just for that whole day, keep twirling his hair no matter how annoyed he gets. Hopefully, by then, he'll get the memo and stop.
