hair products for your babies

Hello My husband is Jamaican therefore our baby will be mixed race. I don’t have any experience with afro hair types. Is there any mums on here who had a baby recently and will be able to share which products they use and if any useful tips and websites or instagram pages to follow etc would be much appreciated. Thank you

I have mixed children! Congratulations to you!! I would say Tik Tok is your best friend!! Type what you need in the search and you should get so many recs. I keep it very simple with my boys. Water, Shea Moisture and Haitian Castor Oil ☺️

kinda racist

Hey, I'm mixed race also half Jamaican. My baby's dad is Ghanaian so has almost the same hair type as me. I used My Little Coco products in her hair when she was first born as her hair was dead straight and as she got older, I've been using Shea Moisture Kids range - detangling spray, then leave-in conditioner, curling cream and seal with an oil. I've been doing the same with my hair as I've learned how to manage it over the years and it works a treat. A tip is to always try to use products with no sulfates, parabens or silicones as they dry out the hair/weigh it down 😊 Best of luck xx

@tamia it’s racist that a mom is wanting to educate herself on her child’s most probable hair type? Stop trolling.

ask your partner.. its that simple.

I have mixed children and even though I myself have Afro hair, this is a learning experience for me too as their hair texture is complexly different to mine. I have seen some very helpful tips and useful products on TikTok🥰

This is not racist at all. I’m glad you asked! Get help from Black women who are willing to help. Yes, she can ask him but he’s also still a guy. White women can learn from Black women. I don’t see anything wrong with that. 🤍

@Monica thank you a million i will download now :)

@tamia i apologise if my question has offended you in some way. I am not trying to offend anyone. I just want to know how to best look after my daughter. And i need advice thats all.
