Baby smothering their face and smilingšŸ˜‚

My little girl has done this for a few months now and it’s so scary!

She takes her toys/blankets and squashes them on her face and holds her breath. I immediately take them away and she is smiling/laughing trying to put them back.

When her face is covered she kicks her arms and legs out and purposely holds her breath (I know this because sometimes the toy/blanket it only covering her eyes)

She seems to really enjoy this crazy behaviour but it’s freaking me out haha.

Just hoping I’m not alone or any insight please xx

You're not alone. My little boy does the exact same thing! It scares me, but then I take it away and he's there giggling away thinking it's a game.

My little girls been doing it for months too!! I panicked the first few times but now I just watch her and she'll often pull it off and put it back on purpose haha. I assume it's a sensory thing they enjoy? As long as she's safe and happy she'll probably grow out of it eventually (maybe, I hope šŸ˜‚)

Mine puts his comforter or toys over his face then thrashes around like crazy. I pull them off to make sure he’s ok and he’s laughing away!

Yep my daughter loves doing this too she puts a blanket over her face and stays dead still I get so scared thinking she’s passed out but as soon as I remove it she’s flapping about and smiling and does the same thing again 🤣

My boy does this too - if there’s no toys around he’ll use his arm! He heavy breathes too šŸ˜‚ At first I worried but he grins. If I don’t remove it quickly, he’ll move it a little to peek at me! They are just playing, little nutters 😁
I’m grateful for this post as I now know my son isn’t the only one with a funny sense of humour šŸ˜…

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x

Fighting naps

Does anybody else feel like they spend all day trying to get baby to nap? I get tempted to give up as he must not be that tired but he is too cranky to play or do anything else!
