Anyone weigh their babies at home on a normal scale by holding them and subtracting their own weight from it? How accurate is it? I don’t have scales so will need to buy some as I don’t really want to pay £50 for baby scales and I don’t have a child centre near enough to walk to (i don’t drive)

I do it by using our scales and subtracting. It's probably not exact but I'm in the same position, baby scales are expensive, I don't drive and the centre isn't in walking distance 🤣

Since my baby was 2 months old I’ve weighed him at home every month (I’m also not close to a clinic and don’t drive.) I knew it wouldn’t ever be 100% accurate, just wanted peace of mind that he wasn’t gaining too much / not enough. He recently had his one year review and was weighed there on the baby scales and pretty much matched the same weight he was when we did it at home ☺️ x
Thank you ladies! ☺️ xxx

Don't buy that scale 😭 I should have looked at the dimensions 🙃🫠 my babe hardly fit on it. But there were some bigger ones on Amazon for a little under double the price
