Hey, I’m 29 weeks too and gained exactly the same. I know it’s hard to see your body change so much and so quickly. I decided this is a problem for after I give birth and try hard to just not weigh myself anymore especially now as I’m approaching the end of pregnancy and the numbers will jump.

A lot of the weight if not all is not you gaining the weight, the pregnancy itself, placenta, blood volume, etc.

I think that’s a pretty normal amount? I haven’t weighed myself personally since 10 weeks where I had to. As above person said as well- I read that around 12-14kg will be purely baby, fluid, placenta, blood etc. x

I’m the same and I was way overweight before pregnancy anyway 🥲 luckily all my weight is in my belly everything else looks the same

I stopped weighing myself after 20 weeks and it was the best thing I did. I have no idea how much I’ve gained and so don’t give it any thought

I’ve put on LOADS. I was a size 10 and I’m sat in size 16 PJs atm. I think my face is large/arms - but my mum thinks it’s all lower weight (bum, legs and of course bump).

I’m 27 weeks and I’ve gained 16kg, but it’s okay. I know that after the pregnancy I’ll do my best to go back and even more. For now I’m only wondering about my back and movements. I’ve started to have very bad back pain and I’m not sleeping for that. I hope to don’t get more, but still have 3 months. I’m desperate 😅

I’m 27 weeks and gained 12kg, realised it this morning. I was also quite sad but I’m hoping to speak to my midwife about it at my appt next week

I'm 26 weeks and gained over 6kg. With my first, I did lose a lot a lot straight away due to water, placenta and baby obviously. It's hard to see your body changing but it's home to your beautiful baby and will be yours again soon.

Just to add I spoke to my Obstetrician yesterday about my weight gain and she was very reassuring. I explained how I’m exercising regularly and not eating LOADS more than what was normal for me before. She said as long as I’m active and looking after myself then nothing to worry about. I hope this makes some of you here feel better too.
