VBAC over 41 weeks

anyone had a successful VBAC after 41 weeks? not pregnant and don’t plan on it anytime soon but a VBAC crosses my mind everyday. have seen most women not allowed to go over 41 weeks because of the chance of uterine rupture. my first i went into labour at 41+2 so i wouldn’t expect to go into labour before 41 weeks and i personally wouldn’t be taking any sweeps because this is what caused my infection that led to an emergency c-section in the first place. like i say i don’t plan on getting pregnant anytime soon like i plan on leaving at least a 7 year gap. would this be long enough to heal for them to let me go over 41 weeks?

I had the conversation with my consultant about this today. I had an emergency section 2 and a half years ago (will be 3 years once this baby arrives) and my plan is to wait and see if I go into labour myself to try VBAC and if not I'll have a planned section at 12-14 days overdue. So I think yes you can still have VBAC after 41 weeks. Ultimately I think it's your decision!

Obstetrician led

I’m having shared care between midwife’s and obstetrician.

My previous pregnancy I had extra growth scans as baby was measuring big and I had pre-eclampsia during labour and a full dilated emergency C-section.

This time round I’m having obstetrician appointments, midwives appointments, cervical length scan every two weeks from 16-22/24, and extra growth scans again .

I’m just finding it all a lot to process can anyone let me know there experiences and if they went on to have a happy pregnancy despite it

Polly??

My 3 year old son is completely insistent that baby sisters name will be Polly. I think he just got attached ages ago after hearing it shouted in the park and now it does matter what name we suggest, even if he says he likes it, he still insists her name is Polly.

Now I dont hate it but its not really what I imagine for my daughter either?? I typically like full (yet girly) names with a cute nickname that can work in either a professional setting or out of work.

I think Polly just feels like a cute nickname to me? Also, I had an imaginary friend heavily inspired by Polly Pocket as a child so I dont think that helps 🤣

We just cant seem to agree on any names as a family so a bit stumped!

Getting your induction call?

I have an induction booked for today, and was told I’d receive a call between 8 am and 9 am to let us know what time to head into the hospital. I haven’t received a call yet.

For the ladies who were induced, when did you receive your call/is it worth me following up with them? I’m sure we’ll get caught at some point soon and don’t want to be that irritating person chasing up necessarily 😂

C section advice

I am 34 weeks tomorrow and have been booked to have an induction at 37 weeks due to my waters leaking! They let me know today that I will be induced using the hormone drip and ive heard so many negative stories about the hormone drip and I also had a very negative induction on my first little girl. So I am looking into having an elective section instead. I know they can be frowned upon and I also know the recovery is alot harder than vaginally birth. But I genuinely think its my best option for me especially as my we live so far away from family and need to have someone come stay with our daughter.

Any advice would be appreciated on what to expect.
