Tv Series for maternity leave

I am due to have my baby next week and I am looking for recommendations on Tv shows to watch while on maternity leave. I don’t like dark/scary/gore, especially with pp hormones, so something light/easy/feelgood. I prefer US/Canadian tv shows to UK ones. Some of my favourites (don’t judge me please) Greys anatomy Hawaii Five-O One tree hill Timeless (sci-fi) Property Brothers (home renovation show) Tipping point (Quiz Show) Love Island (reality tv) I also watched Jack Ryan and Reacher recently and really loved them. Thank you for any recommendations

Maybe weird for some but I absolutely loved Love on Spectrum Australia.

Criminal minds / Bones / once upon a time (always a good binge show until season 7 which was pointless) I'm sure there's more! I also loveeeee cougar town (on Disney plus now) xx

Upload (on Prime), The Trust (reality TV), Bridgerton, Virgin River

Catfish (reality tv) The Sinner (crime drama) Handmaid's tale (drama) The OC (drama) Fool me once (drama) Bates Motel (drama) The exes (sitcom) Sister wives (reality) Seeking sister wives (reality)

Dead to me (Dark Comedy but not gore), Grace and Frankie, Kimmy Schmidt

Below Deck is pure trash but sooo good! If you liked Greys Anatomy you should try Private Practice & Station 19

The trust was brilliant! X

Schitts Creek, Workin Moms, Ginny & Georgia

911 and 911 lonestar on Disney+, similar vibes to greys/station 19 but fire and paramedic focused (just finished for the second time 😂) or Chesapeake Shores on Netflix, nice bit of hallmark romance. If you want short and funny I’d say parks and rec or Schitts creek. (All American programmes). No judgement as both my babies were bought up in greys in the early days 😂

Love On the Spectrum, Parks and Rec, The Office, Ted Lasso, and Schitt's Creek are some of my favourites!

Modern Family Schitts Creek Brooklyn 99 Queen Charlotte/Bridgerton For reality TV: The Circle, or Love i s Blind. My favorite is Survivor

Workin’ Moms on Netflix is hilarious!

@Sonia i love all the love on the spectrum series! So adorable

I like a lot of the ones you say you like already and I started watching This is Us on Amazon prime when my maternity leave started. It’s a little cheesy but really wholesome and addictive! 😅 Also enjoying sex education for the second time and I watch Gilmore Girls during my pregnancy too

I watched working mums when my girl was born! Was a mixture of hilarious and real and made me feel not alone in the postpartum bubble/hormones!!

Glow up is perfect. Make up competition, very formulaic, easy to watch when breadteeeding or tired as it’s not very deep

I don’t know why, but I love Shameless on Netflix. Also can’t get more “feel good” than Ted Lasso!

Some great recommendations already. I would add in: The Good Place (comedy sitcom) Love is Blind (reality tv) Vanderpump rules (reality tv) Superstore (comedy sitcom) Happy Endings (comedy sitcom) A Series of Unfortunate Events (drama)

Schitts Creek and Ted Lasso, both feel good shows 😊 I also loved Jack Ryan and am rewatching now! Love the Office too Love is Blind if you're into trashy TV haha

Desperate housewives always a win

Charmed / the crown

24 - 9 series and lots of episodes per series!

I got into Outdaughtered when I had just had my baby and it helped me through newborn era as I figured if they could do it with 5, I can with one 🤣

The Great British Baking Show (Netflix)

@Jenny the good place! That’s the one I was trying to think of.

Desperate housewives

Devious Maids Jane the Virgin New Girl The OC 9-1-1 Suits Workin’ Moms Gogglebox Bridgerton Blackish

Station 19! I actually prefer this over Greys Anatomy these days

The Office, Schitt’s Creek, Ted Lasso, Parks and Rec

House has been a good one for me so far
