I just was wondering if anyone has experienced having to be induced with their second baby. I went into spontaneous labour with my first but this time having to be induced. Anyone else experienced this?

Not yet , how far along are you , did they give you a reason why? Maybe health concern?

So I’m 37 and 5 days so I will be 38 when they induce me! It’s down to the size of him, he is currently at today’s scan 8lb9oz so they said to try and avoid a c section it may be best.

Oh becuase of his size

The size is usually an estimate don’t let a doctor tell you what to do make good decisions for yourself and for your baby, I delivered my son at 8 lb 8 oz
And it was vaginal natural birth no epidural. So when it’s time for baby to come, they will let you know when they are ready,
But if it’s concerning your health maybe your small, idk just look at all the facts and how you feel about it

Mines measuring big too, 97th centile 2 weeks ago and thankfully 90th today (38 weeks) and I’m really having to stand my ground and fight my corner. First baby was measuring about 60th came out 34th so I’m not letting them dictate this birth to me on growth scan alone

My first was spontaneous labour, assisted vaginal birth at 9lbs. My second is measuring larger again and so I’m being induced at 39 weeks. I’m totally happy to be induced, I’m measuring consistently two weeks or more ahead and have no doubt he will again be large like his big sister was🤷🏻♀️ I want to avoid an emergency section due to my first being a young toddler so birthing slightly earlier and slightly smaller than 40+ weeks feels like the right choice for me x
