SAHM moms how did Yk you were ready to go back to work

My son is almost 10 mo, I haven’t worked in almost a year & I want to have my own money but I’ll feel guilty leaving my boy since he’s been with me full time since he was born. My fiancé isn’t rushing me to go back to work , but I want my independence back. I was thinking around his 1st birthday but was wanting advice for the mommas who’s already been there, done that. How did yk you were ready to return to work?

I went to work at around 7 months but only on the weekends. So the whole week I was with my baby. A slow start really helps. And I got some money two days a week. It helped a little. I'm including Friday this week. And I'll stick with that for now. Pumping at work is not the most convenient for me. But every workplace is different. I only pump at lunch (20 min), and if I really needed to do it more, I would be able to if I stood my ground and with clear communication.

i went back to work full time when my son was about 4 months and i did that for 3 weeks and it was awful i took he cried all day when i left and i absolutely regret it. i ended up taking 2 weeks off then went back to work part time 2-3 days a week and that has been so much better he’s almost 10 months now. going to work part time was what was best for us, i definitely would recommend a slow start (part time) at first because my son had a really hard time adjusting to me being away for long amounts of time. but always remember to do what is best for you and your family :)

I went back to work when my girl was 5 months old. I went for about 3 weeks then had to take a week off because she got sick then had to take 2 weeks off because she got sick again. It was a mess. Now she’s almost 10 months and I been working full time

I'm almost hitting the 1 year mark and I'm trying to stay home until she starts preschool.
