My 16 month will be fine playing and randomly look mad and lightly bang his mouth on the floor and make a painful face at me while holding his mouth. Is he doing this for attention? Anyone else have this happen?

I’d start with checking his mouth for any teeth coming in. Mine got real fussy with first molar and I’m dreading the rest coming in.

Yep check for teeth!! We're really going through it with two molars coming in.

I agree w the comments above! My son has had a “cold” since November and it turns out he was just serial teething! He went from 4 teeth to 11 and he has all 4 molars in. The cold symptoms go away when he’s done teething but as of this week he’s back snotty again and would you know he’s got another big tooth coming through! We should be done soon, he’s almost got a full house now

Timing is right for molars right now. I realized that was probably the cause for some fussiness and bad sleep, once I caught a glimpse of one! All 4 are coming out now and she’s doing the random crying out, probably from pain. I have lots of teething stuff laying out for her and yogurt popsicles daily
