Nappy rash creams

Sorry if this sounds silly but what is the difference between all of the different creams? Is it just different brands or do they have different uses?

I’m a FTM to be and was looking at the last min bits I need to buy and don’t know if I should get multiple types?
Like what’s the difference between sudocrem and bepanthen and metanium?
I have sudocrem but shall I get one of the other two as well?

I use sudocrem as a barrier cream so after every nappy change to help protect the skin and metanium if we get and nappy rash as it clears it up really quickly

Do love metanium!!

Things like sudocrem are a barrier for the skin whereas metanium is an ointment for clearing nappy rash. Just be aware it stinks and stains! 😂

Bepanthen is a prevention metanium is treatment. Sudocream isn’t recommended as it blocks the nappy making the pee sit on the skin more and causing more soreness
