Baby milk feeds in airport/plane

We're doing an 11 hour flight with our 18/19 month old toddler soon but how do you prep milk/formula to be taken through the airport and used on planes?

I know we can take it all through security but how do you make up formula on the plane before takeoff and likewise how do I store fresh milk/make up formula on the plane 11 hours later for landing??

If any of this makes sense 😬

Coffee places in the airports should be able to provide fresh milk. For formula on the plane i would ask for boiled water from the flight attendants. I’d also take some of those ready made formulas too. Enjoy your trip ! x

We took ready made formula bottles

You can just bring it through in their normal bottles. I did manage to bring ice packs through last time in a little cool bag. They just ask if you have any baby food/yoghurts/drinks etc and they take it and sometimes do a little test. Never had any problems:

@Fiona is this the ready to feed ones that are pre-made in stores?

@Louise thank you! Do you mean the ready to feed ones from stores? Could I still use them even though he drinks 'toddler milk' from kendamil and they only come in the first infant milk style?

Avatar

@incognito yes the ready made store bought ones! The first infant will be fine, there’s not much difference in the ingredients

I’m going on holiday in April she’ll be 18m and I’m taking ready made formula for the journey and while over there! I also use them when going out here and they don’t need to be chilled

@Louise oh amazing I didn't realise he could still have those! He only really has one bottle of formula a day anyway as cows milk is too heavy for him at nighttime so I shouldn't need to worry too much... I just wanted him to have something for the plane!

@Sarah aw good luck to you also! I'm dreading it in a way 😅 thank you though, I'll get some of the first infant milk ready made bottles for the plane/airport!
