How can I lose weight when I can't go to the gym because I dont have a babysitter and I'm on the Depo Shot. I look like I'm still pregnant. I would love to lose some belly weight but keep my butt lol. Does anyone have any recommendations? Here is a picture to show what I mean when I say I look like I'm still pregnant.

Hiiii, little by little, there are a lot of pelvic exercises to do at Home in internet uff so many I get myself an app, they should pay me for this lol, well I haven’t use it yet but it seems pretty good for that, the name is ml.fitness, find him first on Instagram and then figure it out if you want to do his trainings, I personally like it a lot, what I have seen from him and the app itself, I’m still pregnant so I haven’t started because they don’t have that section ah! something important if you loose weight you will loose some of you butt too, but exercises for it also help, note everything takes time💓

You can start by walking or jogging. There are also a lot of bodyweight home programs ☺️ Counting macros or at least being more mindful of what you eat might also help, you got it! 💪🏼

There’s a lot of great no equipment 20 min exercises on YouTube!

I have a 3 month old I’ve just bought a smart watch to see how many calories I burn at exercise
I’m currently doing 30 minutes of YouTube with regular walks to try and drop weight

I’d definitely eat more protein and start with HIIT exercises twice a week, and some body weight exercises on YouTube :) diet is the main portion of weight loss, as well as hormones. So sleep, diet, stress, and exercise will help you get there. All the best! XX

What have you tried so far?

I’m in the same boat lol I do workout videos at home or dance workouts, and try to cook healthy meals. My son is 2 now so he likes to work out with me lol, if you have an infant I would recommend the baby carrier when doing light workouts if your baby likes to be held or you can go on a walk with your baby!😊

Walking is so underrated! I’d say start adding in a walk every day (start with a small walk and then increase). On days you can’t walk, do a HIIT workout.
That on top of making diet changes should be a really good start. Then some gym do have daycare if you have that available to you. Or there are some great apps without workout programs and you could get some dumbbells and weight train at home.
You got this mama ❤️

💚Baby + stroller + park/high school track/neighborhood sidewalk…this is gonna sound weird but if you’re not creeped out and don’t have any other safe paved options cemeteries usually have paved paths to walk. Walk at a decent pace for 20 minutes every day.
🩵Water. Drink like you’re in a desert. Try not to drink any drinks with sugar. So unsweet tea and unsweetened coffee is ok but not really other drink. Don’t rely on sugar free drinks. Get in the habit of water and watch the weight come off.
💜Make a fun playlist and have dance parties with baby. Do this if you can’t get outside to walk. 10-15 min. Baby will be entertained and you can YouTube Zumba type dance workouts that will have you sweating but never bored.
🖤Try a waist trainer or girdle. It can help with realignment and posture.
💛Yoga. 20-30 mini everyday. YouTube easy flow or gentle yoga. You will be surprised how toned you will get.
🧡CONSISTENCY IS KEY. This list is very easy but you will see results over 3-6 months

Honestly you don’t even have to change your diet so much if you just stick to water only rule and a little more time with intentional activity. Nutrition can be very overwhelming if you’re trying to make a big change. Starting with increase activity is a more fun and rewarding and achievable place to start.
Just eat what you want and don’t binge or starve yourself.
The worst we do is confuse our bodies about when it will be fed or how much. So just eat what you want when you’re hungry but try to also give your body something healthy even if you don’t feel hungry. Also highly recommend vitamins! Best of luck!

I love this sentiment. I’d say just adding high protein to meals / snacks helps a lot with weight management too- it helps you crave less sugary things, so you still eat them but not overloading :)

agreed protein is my go to when I can’t figure out what to eat nowadays… us mamas on the go can’t go wrong with protein 🤷🏽♀️ especially if we’re being intentionally active

I agree but sometimes it can be frustrating overwhelming and not fun to make diet changes. Water is an easy but important swap to start with and focusing on protein is a good next step. Most times diet is also emotionally tied so that can be a lot to try to figure out. Also it’s possible for our bodies to regulate weight over time if we consistently provide food instead of up and down. On a basic level calories are calories and to me the more realistic change is adding productive intentional activity. It can be fun and rewarding and feel good. While dieting sucks and is complicated lol. 🤷🏽♀️

YouTube is the way to go right?! I used to do HIIT but it got boring so I switched to the dance videos. But this is the combo for results. I find being conservative with portion but liberal with choice is the best diet for me. But I suppose it depends on if you are a picky eater or not.

I was on depo shot for years and I finally gained my most weight and I tried diets hit the gym 5-6x a week plus waitressing. I couldn’t drop the weight. Once I got off depo I lost what I would say water weight but then it just kept shedding off. I would personally switch birth controls if that is an option. 🫂❤️

Go exercises that you can do while holding kid. As your kid gets bigger you get stronger. Go for walks with a stroller till you can handle wearing kid while you walk. Resistant bands are great to mess with while you watch tv

It’s 90% diet anyway you don’t need to go to the gym. You can also do home workouts or just take your baby to the gym with you. Most privately owned gyms will let you come in with a stroller I’ve been taking my som since he was 2 months old

I recommend Yoga With Adriene on YouTube. Also lots of stroller walks and eventually baby carrying while walking to add weight to your walks.
Please be gentle with yourself, you’ll get there mama!!!

There are great pelvic exercises for home on YouTube . There’s postpartum Pilates and yoga and that helps the tummy sooo much. Start with simple 15 mins during the baby’s naps. That’s how I try to still get my workouts in when I can

okay, I don't go back to my obgyn till April so I will talk to her then about switching birth control. I haven't even had sex since October of last yr and don't know when I will have it next so not sure why I got back on it. I know it's tmi but all my boyfriend and I do is anal majority of the time when we do have sex.

Adriene is my favorite the only one I watch

LA Fitness has daycare for babies.
