My husband was baptized and he said he felt different and a light in him. I was baptized today and everyone asked me "did you feel it" and I'm not sure what they meant. I felt proud of myself but u didn't feel or see a light.

I recently got baptized January 7th of this year, and I can safely say I didn't see a light or see a vision, but I knew that when I came up I felt like I had a second chance and that I could do things right this time I felt clean better yet said, as an if I was pure even though I'll never really be squeaky clean but I felt that I could change some things and make better of myself for Jesus

I got baptized when I was 11. What I “felt” was that I had a second chance to live a pure life even though I’m not perfect. What I was taught was that it was more of a symbolism of proclaiming that you’re saved and will live your life trying to be holy, not perfect but striving to be like Him.

My husband converted to my church and was expecting this experience and didn’t feel it. Sometimes it’s expected to feel like this big marvelous thing when it can show itself in many different ways that are very subtle. A warm, safe, or good feeling is another simple way to feel it.
