New borns and tv

Is it normal for a month old baby to be able to watch TV? I didn't even think they could see that well yet. My little boy is so fixated on the TV when we hold him and its on the wall across the room so it's quite a distance away, didn't think he'd notice it. Ofc I don't sit him in a bouncer or anything else infront of the telly as I'd like to encourage him to interact with me instead. Health visitor said he's very well developed and is shocked with how aware he is for his age. Its as if he was born aware and knowing everything, we joke that I gave birth to an old man as he's got the attitude of been there done that and the faces to go with it 😂

Might be that the bright light of it attracts him? It stands out against the rest of the house so he is intrigued?

Yes it's normal for even very young babies to be attracted by the TV.
