Pregnant plus a toddler

Omg someone is finally speaking on this. My daughter has the worst tantrums and she’s 2. I’m so worried about the recovery time when I have my c-section. My biggest concerns is her hurting me or the baby

Hey girl so I’m dealing with something kind of similar. I’m 7 months pregnant and I’m currently taking care of my sisters 2kids 1 is a toddler and the other is 6 months I also work at a daycare it’s definitely hard sometimes but I had to start teaching the toddler about throwing things, playing too rough, and getting in the 6 month olds face just take it one day at a time also dealing with the tantrums it’s okay to let them cry and scream you can set up a small time out area too it works for me

Went into preterm labor Wednesday and now I'm on "bedrest" no lifting no floor play ECT. It's a PAIN but I order my LO steps so she can get on and off the couch if she needs me I can change her and we can hang out and then she can get down to her toys she turned one last weekend. It's been a game changer I leave her diaper box on the floor and she can bring them to me which helps too

Aw I get that :( It would break my heart too, but I kinda hope he does start gravitating towards his dad a little more soon because right now it’s “mommy do” everything (except all the things he has to do himself, many of which somehow require more work from me than if I just did it, like helping him pour milk himself lol)

Yeah, I have chats with him like that too. He’s such a kind-hearted kid, so he usually gets it, but he’s also 2 so it doesn’t stick lol

Oh god, I didn’t have a c-section with my first, but it’s always a possibility for the second because who knows. I hadn’t even considered recovery from surgery 🤦🏻‍♀️ Pulling for you! ♥️

I'm a little nervous about this. My toddler is 3, will be about 3.5 when this baby is born. I still pick her up a ton and she's 90th+ percentile for her age. First birth was a C-section, so there's a chance this one will be, too.

I'm also fending off the ferocious lack of impulse control, and have to repeatedly block kicks and punches headed towards my stomach. Or just fucking jumping on me. 😵‍💫 I know none of it is malicious or intentional. Just wild toddler stuff.

Yes all of this! My son is also in the upper percentiles with no impulse control. An adorable munchkin who likes to headbutt my belly 🤦🏻‍♀️ lol

Girl I feel you, my daughter is 14 months and she is just so mean sometimes. Throwing things at me and needing me to hold her all the time 😂 It’s like playing dodge ball while I change her diapers sometimes… except it’s dodging a big fat kick to the stomach

I'm worried too! My son just turned 1 and is a handful sometimes lol he likes to headbutt and squirm, kick and climb when he plays and cuddles. Its already been hard to get him in and out of his crib 😭

I have a 13 month old and she usually kicks my stomach at night when she's trying to get the boob but I know baby is safe. I have 2 older kids and they usually keep the 13 month busy so I'm not too sure how to feel when baby gets here.
