Swollen/puffy downstairs!!

Apologies if this is TMI but wondered if anyone is experiencing a swollen/puffy downstairs?! I'm 30+5 and realised she's looking a bit different. It's a little bit achy too! Google says it's normal in 3rd tri but I know it's better to find out from an actual person!

Yeah I've been like this since about 27 weeks my midwife said it's normal 😩 sometimes it's worse if I've been sat for a while! X

Thanks both for making me not feel alone 😭! Do you find it hurts a bit? Doesn't feel like thrush or anything for me because it's too high but it's like achey!! X

Completely normal! I was super shocked with my 1st baby and couldn’t believe the amount of swelling and aching I went through! I’m pregnant with baby no.2 32+4 and it’s making a great comeback😭

thank you! This is my first and it's something I never knew about so it's a bit of a shock 🤣 Just wasn't sure if I needed to speak to a doctor! X

No one seems to talk about these extra things!! It’s super crazy isn’t it! It’ll go down pretty quickly too once babies here🥰xx

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have this too, and yes the achiness! Pregnancy is amazing but weird! X

Yes completely normal! I remember being so shocked with my first after my partner pointed it out 🫣😂 apparently it’s all the extra blood flow making it swell 🥲
I sometimes get the achy feeling too x

Same here ❤️ I was so concerned. I’m glad it’s nothing to be worried about.

Same 🤪🤪🤪 not the most glamorous side of pregnancy. Feels like a grapefruit down there hahaha

SO glad I read this thread so I don’t feel so much like an alien 🤣 this is my second baby too but never had this with my first. I do office work so midwife said it’s due to not moving enough and not drinking enough water xx

Avatar

ohhh same and I mainly WFH! I do get out walking the dog twice a day but obviously not enough 🤣🙈 xx

I’m not sure on puffy, but the aching in my pubic bone is unbelievable 😩 currently in bed with a hot water bottle on it

Same lovely. I don’t have a dog, and certainly don’t exercise enough 😅 I’ve been being more mindful to get up away from my desk more often during the day and it’s been helping xx

Same here, very swollen and pain sometimes, found that the chub rub between thighs and downstairs is so painful, just started talc powder so hopefully that might help 🤞🏻 xxx
