Hospital bag!

When did everyone buy for theirs? I’m 30+5 and thinking I need to shop for it at least!

I’ve been picking up bits here and there since the Boxing Day sales & plan to pack this week x

I'm 31+2. I haven't packed anything yet but I have the bag, have maxi pads, breast pads, the urine water bottle thingy, witch hazel pads, lavender room spray, nappies for baby, cotton wool balls, hats, babies clothes. I reckon I will pack the beginning of March. If you could tell I like being organised 🙈

Avatar

ahh I’m deffo gonna look into buying bits then. Dont know where to start😂😂😂x

Avatar

Started buying about 20 weeks 🤣 haven’t packed as such, just all thrown in a bag ready to be sorted & packed properly
Only really need to get some mini toiletries, snacks/drinks & a long wire charger and think I’ve got everything else 🙈 x

Avatar

ahh thank you so much! Deffo taking this to primark and buying most of it from there clothes wise hahah x

Avatar

ah really! So organised I feel like I’m leaving things so last minute when I’m not😂😂 xx

love this! Thank you! Lots of people have also said pack lots of snacks 🤣

I’ve had a bag on the side for ages and I’ve thrown the maternity stuff in it that I found from last time. I’ll sort through it all over this half term and add in anything that is missing.

I would advise packing a secondary emergency bag with extra clothes for you and baby just in case your hospital stay is longer than anticipated and you need someone to bring in more things. My husband didn’t understand what I was asking for baby wise first time round and I had to use clothes from the hospital as what he had bought in wasn’t suitable for the temperature.

I'd been getting bits gradually and then finally properly packed on Friday at 33+1. Small suitcase and bag for me, and bag for baby x

most of mine is either primark or shein 🤣 with the odd thing from supermarket or Amazon! My ziplock bags arrived yesterday and I’m quite excited to organise and pack it all 🤩 x

I’m 32+5 and packed! Started two weeks ago

When it says something to wear during labor what on earth are people thinking of wearing?!?! A baggy nightie? 🤔 x

Avatar

exactly that! ☺️ something accessible for skin to skin
I wore a baggy stretchy T-shirt last time where they slipped him under to go on my chest x

Avatar

@Victoria a comfortable loose button-down nightie that you don't mind getting ruined x

It’s easier to have one bag with baby stuff and another with your things

Flip flops rather than slippers
Wet tissues for down there
And there are some post partum products that can be helpful eg in most Mediterranean countries you are put in a belt before you leave the hospital.

Baby milk in case you need it and hospital won’t give you any unless you have some.

Snacks for you and partner

thank you so much- I shall get purchasing!! 😬😳 xx

have a look about, mine was Tesco and in clubcard prices too so was a bargain! Especially some of the prices I’ve seen online 😳 xx
