My daughter is just over 3 weeks and her hiccups are unreal at least 3-4 times a days. What can I do to help her ? She had them minimal of 20 minutes. TIA

Did she have them alot when you were pregnant?

I don’t know. How would I have known if she had them ? X

@Zoe feels just like it looks but subtle, im 32 weeks and my son has them everyday it's a cute feeling I've even seen him have them on ultrasound

I wouldn’t say I ever felt them. I felt more like a shudder in one spot but that’s her leg or hand then hiccups x

My son gets them all the time, and when he was sin my belly. 😂
I use to give him a little bit of gripe water when he got hiccups (and it was bothering him). X

I was told not to use this 🤷🏻♀️x

@Zoe maybe try massaging her tummy hiccups are an itch in the diaphragm

My baby is like that too, since my pregnancy lol. The pediatrician told me that is normal.

I leave her in an upright position until they are over.

tried this doesn’t help unfortunately x

@Zoe awww ok I know she so young but maybe the wind from you breathing will help
Ok so what helps me the most to rid my own hiccups is fast and slow breathing hold her upright breath in your mouth out then out your mouth face to face with her
Maybe the wind will help her and almost mimic it

My daughter used to get them all the time in the womb and got them once she was born as well. She's 4 and still gets them more often than not.

You may think they are upsetting little one but they won't be. Every evening when I was pregnant with my little one he would get them. Still did when born. He's 2.5 now and still gets them but not as much. Xx

Change her diaper.
Hiccups happen when wet diapers happen! The quick change in temperature causes them.
So a diaper change and making her warm will make them go away pretty quickly.

I don’t think my LO didn’t get them very much. But I don’t know what it feels like 😂
4 months I hope she settles down as having them at 2.30 in morning 😂
So it’s not sore on her. It looks like it’s annoying her. X

they have nothing to do with a wet nappy 🙈 it's like saying we get them because we have wet ourselves 🤣🤣
It's taking in too much air.

Hiya I read hiccups can be a sign of tiredness… my daughter defo gets hiccups when she is tired it’s one of her cue for nap time x

I do think it’s from 1 month (I didn’t see LO was 3 weeks) sorry.
I would keep her upright, over your shoulder and wind her. That seemed to keep my LO more comfortable. ♥️
